Great pasta with nice service.

Tasty

Ordered the gnocchi and clam linguini and some prosciutto and enjoyed them all. The gnocchi had a great consistency and flavor. The linguini was excellent and had a great sun-dried tomato and cream sauce with a good amount of spice at the end. Reasonable price for lunch, would have hurt the wallet a bit with wine.

Yummy Italian restaurant tucked away in a side street in Cheongdam. The space is small but modern, with an outdoor seating area that's perfect for warmer days.

We enjoyed all of the salads, though the creamy dressings were on the heavier side. We loved the octopus appetiser, which had a delicious spicy sauce. The eggplant pate that was part of the lunch set was delicious with warm, crusty bread.

As for the pastas, the truffle pasta came with a generous shaving of real truffles. The bottarga was good but a little one-dimensional. I'd probably skip the aglio e olio, which was cheesy and not what we were really expecting.

Definitely worth checking out!

서울 파스타 맛집 투어를 하던 중 방문한 곳! 많은 기대를 하고 갔지만 결론부터 말하자면 수준 높은 곳임은 분명하지만 확 마음에 드는 메뉴가 없었다. 와인 한 잔 곁들였으면 생각이 달라졌을까...?

전채 요리로 시킨 관자구이가 아주 괜찮아서 기대감이 컸던 것 같기도 하다. 절묘하게 살짝 구워낸 부드러운 관자와 깻잎이 정말 잘 어울려서 맛있게 먹었다! 깻잎이 관자의 해산물 향을 잘 잡아줘서 해산물을 좋아하지 않는 지인도 맛있게 먹었다.

메인으로는 트러플 파스타와 성게알 파스타를 시켰는데, 이 집의 시그니처라고 할 수 있는 트러플 파스타는 개인적으로 내 취향은 아니었다. 트러플을 전체적인 맛을 해치지 않는 선에서 살짝 향을 내는 정도로 사용하는 것을 좋아하는데, 이 파스타는 트러플을 아낌없이 쓴 나머지 트러플 향 말고 크게 느껴지는 것이 없었다... 수란과 적절하게 알 단테로 삶아진 면 등의 맛이 너무 희미해졌달까! 물론 트러플을 좋아하시는 분들이라면 정말 맛있게 드실 것 같다. 성게알 파스타는 크림 베이스와 성게알이 생각보다 잘 어울려서 맛있게 먹었지만 다 먹어갈때쯤 조금 물리는 느낌이 있었다.

전체적으로 맛은 있었지만 본토에 가까운 맛을 지향하는 이탈리안이 늘 그렇듯 강하고 무거운 맛이 호불호가 갈리는 포인트일듯 하다. 역시 이탈리안은 와인과 함께해야 한다는 교훈을 되새긴 곳.
